Packing for a road trip
Road trips are a great way to explore a country and see areas you never would have thought to visit. They are fun and can be a fairly cheap way to go on vacation, especially if you can sleep in your vehicle or take a tent. Packing for a road trip is similar to packing for a camping trip, but unlike a camping trip, you won't necessarily have a toilet and shower block each night. For example, France requires drivers to carry a breathalyzer and red triangle at all times. You will also need to think about the type of fuel your vehicle takes and whether this is restricted, for example LPG isn't always readily available. And what will you do if you break down? Below is a checklist of the important stuff you will need to consider:
Feel free to print out and use these checklists. If there is anything we have missed, add it and let us know. We hope you enjoy your road trip; let us know where you are planning to go in the comments below!
